We are delighted to announce that Ms. Angela Yung has been appointed as our AFS Hong Kong Executive Director effective 13 January 2025. Please join us in welcoming Angela to AFS Hong Kong.
Angela brings with her vast and solid leadership experience in the fields of youth and education. The Board of AFS Hong Kong (The Board) is excited with the appointment and is confident that Angela is the right leader to take AFS Hong Kong forward.
The Board is very grateful for Dr. Josephine Jim’s work over the past five years and we are very much looking forward to building on those achievements.
With the leadership of Angela, we will start a new journey towards another milestone.

AFS Intercultural Fair 2024
The 18th AFS InterCultural Fair was successfully accomplished on November 16th
The 18th AFS InterCultural Fair was successfully accomplished on November 16th at The Association of Directors and Former Directors of Pok Oi Hospital Ltd. Leung Sing Tak College. A total of 27 schools and more than 500 students participated in the event. 15 foreign exchange students from Colombia, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and France have shared their national’s culture with everyone through interesting classroom activities. Everyone had a fruitful day with receiving an exquisite AFS gifts.

Year Exchange Program
Immerse in a foreign language environment for 9-10 months, study at a local secondary school and live with a host family. Suitable for Hong Kong students aged 15-18.5.
Summer Exchange Program
Immerse in a foreign language environment for 2-4 weeks, study a topic at a local secondary school, live in school dormitory or with a host family. Suitable for Hong Kong students aged 13-18.
Host School Program
Host an exchange student aged 15-17 for one academic year and introduce a foreign student to your school. All secondary schools in Hong Kong are welcome to apply.
Host Family Program
Host an exchange student aged 15-17 for 10 months and introduce a foreign member to your family. Short-term hosting opportunities are also available.
Intercultural Learning Research Report
In 2020-21, AFS organised the Jockey Club Community Sustainability Fund – AFS Youth Intercultural Online Learning Project with the generous support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and based on questionnaire done during the online project, we published the Impact of Intercultural Learning on Youth in Hong Kong Research Report.
